CRAVE LAKE TAHOE

Let's Go On A Culinary Journey

Chef Alexis began her journey in the food and beverage industry at a very young age. Starting as a busser at her uncles restaurant at 12, she dreamed one day of becoming a chef.

At the age of 18, she worked on the beverage side of hospitality, along with becoming a CNA. A few years later at the age of 21, she left her hometown of Salt Lake City and branched out to Las Vegas. She began an exciting adventure of mixology on the famed Las Vegas Strip where she perfected 5 star service at The Bellagio, Caesars Palace, and The Wynn for many years. She served many popular celebrities, socialites and party-goers.

When she turned 26, she spread her wings across the country, and set out for New York City. She taught bartending school, while also attending school at the famed French Culinary Institute, now named the International Culinary Center in Manhattan. Upon graduating, she worked at several famed New York restaurants, alongside very talented chefs.

Before long, Chef Alexis decided it was time to spread her culinary wings and return home to Salt Lake City, to care for her grandmother and mother. During that time, she worked at the most famed restaurants including Tuscany, Franks, and Pago. "Working at Pago, I was really honing my skills while preparing real farm-to-table cuisine. I fell in love!"

She took another chance, and that helped transition her into the world of catering where she would spend the next several years of her culinary career in Las Vegas. She co-owned a very successful business called All About Catering, which still runs to this day.

During that experience, she encountered many issues with the caterers in the area.

"I felt too often the food at catered events was dry, overcooked, grossly under-seasoned, and even inedible. I noticed a problem and set out to find a solution." All About Catering Las Vegas was born, and they specialized in fresh, contemporary, and professional catering. Alexis was recognized as "Best Wedding Caterer" her first year in business and featured in a book, "Cater Savvy."

She cooked and served many famous corporations, socialites, and celebrities all over Las Vegas and outside areas. Chef Alexis was also featured on a local radio broadcast 702 Rox, published in My Vegas magazine, and was named Top 100 Women in Las Vegas 2016 and 2017.

Now a transplant to Lake Tahoe as a Personal Chef and Culinary Consultant, Alexis provides her culinary expertise to locals, corporate clients, and vacationers with her husband, Shawn as her apprentice. He is also a retired Navy Seal. God bless America!

They both have an interest in providing "culinary experience."

They  focus on offering the freshest, best tasting and most beautiful food for ALL of their clients. They offer various cuisines and fare for everyone's palate. Their work has now extended as traveling personal chefs to not only that area, but across the United States and beyond.
